At WastePartners in Lichtenvoorde, we are looking for a motivated Commercial Vehicle Mechanic who performs maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles. As a Commercial Vehicle Mechanic (Second Mechanic, First Mechanic, or Technical Specialist), you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You work on solving more complex malfunctions, both mechanical and electrical;

• You perform maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles, towed materials, and/or accessories;

• Your tasks involve fuel systems, transmission systems, brake systems, engine condition, electrical systems, wheel alignment, and tires;

• The tasks are not only related to the engine or chassis but also to the vehicle's body.

What makes this workplace in Lichtenvoorde so unique is the variety in your tasks. One day you are working on a bus, truck, or garbage truck, and the next day you are working on a sewer truck or sweeper. They also work on both the chassis and body of the vehicle here. If you don't have experience with this yet, you will have the opportunity to further develop yourself and we offer you training.

What we ask of you

As a commercial vehicle mechanic, you switch between work orders regularly and must be able to work very accurately. Furthermore, as a mechanic at WastePartners Lichtenvoorde, you can identify with the following points:

• You have completed training as a commercial vehicle technician (1st/2nd) or technical specialist (APK is a plus);

• You have a customer-friendly attitude towards both customers and colleagues;

• A flexible attitude and no 9 to 5 mentality. We consider it very important that our customers are always helped quickly and professionally;

• Affinity with heavy commercial vehicles and different types of vehicles, brands, and bodies;

• Experience in diagnosing the mentioned vehicle types.

You will have plenty of opportunities to grow and maintain special vehicles with us. You are therefore willing to follow courses and training for this industry.

  • 2nd mechanic (completed BAT): €2,500 to €3,000

  • 1st mechanic (completed EBAT): €3,000 to €3,800

  • Technical Specialist (completed level 4): €3,400 to €4,000;
